Rhea Alcantara joined MTC Law as an Associate in January 2022 and was called to the bar in December 2021. She articled at a criminal defence firm in Vancouver where she gained invaluable experience in advocacy and court procedure. Rhea has trial experience in both the Provincial Court of British Columbia and the Supreme Court of British Columbia. While she has some experience in the area of personal injury, her main practice area is in Federal Prosecutions.

Activities

Rhea received her law degree from the University of Leicester in the U.K. where she was a member of the Canadian Law Society and Pro Bono Students Society. In 2019, Rhea obtained her Master of Laws from Osgoode Hall Law School. During her time at Osgoode, she was a member of Pro Bono Students Canada where she volunteered at the Advocacy Centre for the Elderly, a community based legal clinic for low income senior citizens living in Toronto.

In her spare time, Rhea can be found going for runs, hiking, and hanging out with her furry companion, Simba.
